International Day of Tolerance

“Tolerance is an act of humanity, which we must nurture and enact each in own lives every day, to rejoice in the diversity that makes us strong and the values that bring us together.” — UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay.

The International Day for Tolerance is an annual observance day declared by UNESCO in 1995 to generate public awareness of the dangers of intolerance.

International Day of Tolerance was celebrated on 16th November 2018 at HIS, Karapakkam. Our Principal Ms. Iris Theodore addressed the gathering saying that Tolerance is the most important attribute of a Human Being and inspired the students to celebrate differences in the best positive way and treat everyone with respect irrespective of your own likes and dislikes.

A short video was shown to the students on tolerance and the day was concluded with the “Tolerance pledge”.
